What’s the job?

Working on our core Android Engineering Team is highly product focused and collaborative. As a Senior Mobile Engineer on our team you will work directly with various facets of our organization such as product and design to continuously iterate and develop new features for our mobile application. This will be both enhancements to existing code as well as ground up development.

 

We report more than 200 stories from dozens of countries around the world on topics ranging from major international events to sports, games, and the best way to cook a rib-eye. Those stories are read, listened to and watched by millions of users across our web and mobile products.

 

What do you need for the role?

We need Senior and Mid-level Mobile Engineers that are experts in Android Engineering. The core experience and knowledge we look for include:

  • Object Oriented Programming

  • Java and Kotlin Experience

  • Android Studio and IntelliJ

  • Third party libraries such as Dagger or Gradle

  • Multithreading

  • Strong Architectural Pattern Knowledge

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate design to quality code
