Guess What the #1 Job for 2019 Is? (Hint: It Begins with “Data”)
To the surprise of no one, “Data Scientist” was recently named the number one most promising job in 2019, with a whopping 4,000 year-over-year growth in job openings (56% increase).
What does this mean for employers and candidates this year? It’s pretty simple: a lot more noise.
A lot more noise for candidates sifting through the hundreds and hundreds of new job openings from companies of all sorts, all seemingly looking for the same thing (python, machine learning, STEM degree, etc…), and a lot more noise for the managers hiring data scientists and sorting through the hundreds of resumes of candidates who say there are qualified.
Now more than ever, I truly believe that the role of a qualified, knowledgeable, specialized and caring Data Science recruiter is imperative for candidates to land their next dream job, and for companies to find and hire the best talent via a pain-free process.
This is why the Averity Data team is off to a record start this year, tripling the number of candidates we’ve placed versus this time last year.
