Big Data Architect ($250K)

Are you a Big Data Architect who loves to transform data at scale? How about building an Enterprise Data Lake from the ground up with a new start-up like team based in a multinational financial services company?


What’s The Job?


You will be a Big Data Architect on our new start-up like team that is designed to bring all our vast sources of Data in to one centralized Enterprise Data Lake.


We have a LOT of Data in a LOT of different places right now, from on prem to the cloud, in several different types of Database. As a Big Data Engineer on our team you will be migrating on prem Data to the cloud (AWS), transforming and pipelining this Data into a ‘one-stop shop’ for all our business lines, including our Data Science team, to pull from.


As our Big Data Architect you will be the driving force behind leading our new architecture build out for the Enterprise Data Lake. You will identify and implement the latest technologies that will allow our infrastructure to ingest Big Data and scale up accordingly.


What Skills Do You Need?


• Several years of experience with Big Data / Enterprise Data Lakes

• A heavy AWS background

• ETL and Data Pipelining experience

• Experience with Data Governance (we use Collibra) is preferred

• We are tool agnostic so if you are too that is a plus

• Ability and experience identifying and implementing the latest technologies and best practices
