We are one of the world's most well-known law firms and have been in business for over 100 years. We are located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan and are seeking a Business Systems Analyst / Engineer to join the Technology department.
WHAT WILL THE BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST DO?
· Facilitate new system and vendor selection through requirements gathering, research, scorecards, and proof of concept setup.
· Work with other teams in the department to set up proof-of-concept installations of complex environments and derive evaluation and success criteria with business owners.
· Perform necessary upgrades for locally deployed systems and work with vendors to keep cloud-based systems up to date.
· Work with internal teams and vendors to create and maintain data feeds between systems.
· Install and configure complex production n-tier software systems, interacting with multiple IT teams (Development, DBAs, Servers, Storage, Networking, InfoSec, etc.).
· Document new and existing systems and work with the Training department to help “train the trainer”.
· Create internal and user-facing documentation.
WHAT SKILLS ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN A BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST?
· Minimum 5 years experience supporting a complex ecosystem of systems.
· Understanding of Single Sign-on technologies and protocols like ADFS and SAML 2.0.
· Experience in evaluating information security posture for cloud-based applications.
· Proficiency in Visio, UML, or another diagramming tool/technology.
· Bachelor's Degree in an Information Technology field.
· Excellent verbal, written, and documentation skills.
· Ability to work independently and quickly troubleshoot production issues.
· Working knowledge of the Microsoft stack: Active Directory, Server operating systems, Group Policy, file, and network security, etc.
· Working knowledge of Windows Server OS, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows security.
· Strong sense of focus and excellent attention to detail, while working in a fast-paced and energetic environment.
· Must be available to provide weekend and after-hours support.
