We are one of the world's largest food & restaurant companies and are looking to scale up our direct-to-consumer platform. We are a household name worldwide and are worth over $40 Billion. We own and operate thousands of restaurants in hundreds of countries, and are now growing our e-commerce / direct-to-consumer brand. We are actively hiring a Director of Application Development with a focus on high-volume e-commerce.  

What is the job?

  • Help set and collaborate on the architectural direction for the organization's platform 
  • Develop React.JS applications for our core application team
  • Support engineers across teams in delivering product features
  • Mentor senior engineers across the organization 
  • You will build our the front-end application engineering team

What Experience &  Skills Are We Looking For in a Director of Application 

  • 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering
  • Experience defining scalable technical solutions to complex business problems
  • Experience in high Volume E-Commerce / High Volume Food Delivery 

Specific Tech Skills for the job Include:

  • Managing a team of very talented engineers
  • Strong experience with React
  • Experience with GraphQL
  • Experience with NoSQL databases like DynamoDB
  • Experience with Serverless framework
