What Is The Job?

As the Director of Data Engineering, you will be reporting directly to the VP of Engineering. You will Oversee a team of 13 engineers and help to further build out the team throughout the year. This role will be 50/50 hands-on technically and overseeing/managing the day-to-day work. As Director you will work closely with the Product and Data teams to assess and onboard new data from our streaming platforms. This role is crucial for driving and productionalizing our platform.

We are in charge with overseeing advanced advertising sales across all properties. Our focus is on providing insights and analytics from viewership data. We are similar to Nielsen in terms of what they do, but work with unique datasets, many that are exclusive.

What Skills Do You Need?

  • Spark is an absolute must have (In Production)
  • AWS- S3, EMR, Redshift, Glue
  • Comfortable using Python or Scala (Experience with both is a Plus)
  • Prior experience in a similar role, and leading a team
  • Work Experience in the Media/Ad-tech space is a plus
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
