What's The Job?

As our Director of Data Engineering, you'll be managing a current team of 3, while looking to scale your Data Engineering team as you scale our Data infrastructure. This role is very much a 'player-coach' position, with you still being hands-on, and showing your team what you want from them. You will essentially be building the latest bleeding-edge version of our Data infrastructure, and building out a team to help you do just that.

This position reports directly to our CTO, and is fully-remote.


Who Are We?

We are an established and profitable online video learning platform in the EdTech space. We are in a large amount of school systems in the country and growing rapidly given the transition and adoption of remote based learning tools recently. We are headquartered in New York City, but again, are open to candidates anywhere in the United States to work on a remote basis.

Skills Needed?

  • Experience leading a Data Engineering focused team previously.
  • Candidates must have experience working for companies in the B2B or B2C space, or video streaming technology using the likes of Kinesis, Kafka etc.
  • Up to date knowledge and hands-on experience with the latest bleeding-edge Data Engineering tools.
  • You thrive in a 'player-coach' environment where you get to show, not just tell, your team the way to go.
