We are one of the world's largest food & restaurant companies and are looking to scale up our direct-to-consumer platform. We are a household name worldwide and are worth over $40 Billion. We own and operate thousands of restaurants in hundreds of countries, and are now growing our e-commerce / direct-to-consumer brand. We are aggressively hiring a Principal Level Platform Engineer, who will end up becoming the Director of Platform Engineering within 3-6 months.  

What is the job?

  • Help set and collaborate on the architectural direction for the organization's platform 
  • Develop NodeJS applications in TypeScript on AWS Lambda 
  • Support engineers across teams in delivering product features
  • Mentor senior engineers across the organization 
  • You will build our the Platform Engineering Team

What Experience &  Skills Are We Looking For in a Director of Platform Engineering?

  • 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering
  • Experience defining scalable technical solutions to complex business problems 
  • Strong communication skills and drive to mentor team members

Specific Pluses for the job Include:

  • 5+ years of professional experience with NodeJS
  • 5+ years of professional experience with AWS
  • Experience with GraphQL
  • Experience with NoSQL databases like DynamoDB
  • Experience with Serverless framework
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform
