What's The Job?

As a Senior Data Engineer on our team, you will be tasked with creating our next generation Data Infrastructure. Based upon this, your focus will be high volume Data Pipelines.

We have access to one of the largest data sets of any company. This data and your pipelines will be used to help analyze patient, clinical and claims data to help find insights to help improve lives, cut costs and strengthen our many business lines.

You will partner with an exceptionally strong group of Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and other Data Engineers. This is a great opportunity for growth.

We are temporarily remote, and we are open to candidates in the Philadelphia, Greater Boston area, NY Metro, and Central CT areas.

What Skills Do You Need?

  • Experience using Hadoop and HDFS commands to create data pipelines
  • Bash shell scripts, UNIX utilities, and UNIX commands
  • Java, Python, Hive, Cassandra, Pig, MySQL or NoSQL or similar
  • We prefer candidates with experience working for large companies who have access to truly big data sets.
  • Preferrably, you have worked with Healthcare or Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in a STEM field (Masters or PhD preferred).
