Senior Director of Engineering - Development Platform

We are currently hiring a Senior Director of Engineering to manage our Developer Platform Team.  This is a critical hire for the entire organization and will have an immediate impact for the whole company.  

What will the Director of Engineering for our Developer Platform Do?

  • This is a unique opportunity to make an organizational impact at a high level for a company that is already considered an "A-List" company.
  • You will build and manage an organization of 50+ Engineers, Managers, Architects, and other core engineers for our Developer Platform.
  • You will set strategy for our Developer Platform which includes making decisions on tech stacks, key hires, and be a key player with access to VP's and the C-Suite
  • You will set the strategy for why developers should write code using our platform and evangelize our platform, go on "roadshows", and build out the business model for the developer platform
  • You will be the go-to person to ensure that developers will have a great experience building in our platform, and can monetize their work. 

What Type of Experience & Skills are we looking for in a Director of Engineering?

  • Experience managing a technology organization of over 30+ people
  • You have experience building / managing great teams focused on developer platforms
  • You have experience working for a top-tier tech company (super high scale)  that developers can build on
  • You are persuasive and can "sell" the platform to developers (we are already a huge name brand, so it won't be difficult)
  • You have enough technical experience to generate buy-in from your staff and outside developers
  • Experience in building developer-facing platforms that cater to developers.  
  • A Founder / Entrepreneur mindset with the ability to move through challenges
