Senior Software Engineer (Contract) - Hedge Fund
CONTRACT TYPE Contract to Permanent
SALARY $110-$150/hr

We are looking for an extremely talented Senior Software Engineer to join one of the most recognizable hedge funds in the world on a 6 month contract.

Our operations engineering team is currently working on an extensive post trade processing platform. This is essentially a post trade book. It calculates the P/L and is utilized by business partners to analyze our post trade data and gain insight into their books.

The project includes a modern web user interface to access the pertinent data. This tool allows them look at trades, toggle them, glean insight and adjust for future trades.

We need a highly skilled full-stack engineer that leans to the javascript and front-end side of the house to join on contract and contribute to the UI from day one. We are on tight deadlines and this is an urgent hire.

Your ideal profile is 80% front-end engineering in Javascript, React, Typescript and 20% back-end in Java/JVM.


Must haves:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience

• Expertise in: Javascript, React, and Typescript

• Back-End experience in: Java / JVM

• Must be a US Citizen or GC holder

• Computer Science Degree (Ideally a graduate degree)



• Node, Vue

• Masters or PhD in Computer Science from a top 10 engineering program

• Financial Services Experience and strong understanding of the HedgeFund space



• $110-$150 per hour paid biweekly on 1099 or Corp-to-Corp
