Technical Business Analyst
SALARY $140,000 - $150,000 + Bonus


We are one of the top fixed-income hedge funds in the world and are growing very actively.  We currently employ over 250 people and manage over $40 Billion in assets.  We are based out of midtown Manhattan and are looking to grow our reporting team.   We are looking for a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst with strong experience in SQL who will be a hybrid of the business side of things and the technical side.  This is a role that will work out of our midtown Manhattan office 3-4 days per week.

What will the Financial Reporting Analyst Do?

This person will be responsible for business analysis, quality assurance, and report development/support within the reporting department. This will include but is not limited to:

  • Management information reporting
  • Client reporting
  • Response to ad-hoc information requests
  • Internal business processes enhancements/improvements


    There will be an initial focus on client and performance reports. Since client and performance reports touch many of the functional areas of the firm.

What business skills are we looking for in a Financial Reporting Analyst?

  • Minimum of 3-5 years in the asset management industry, preferably on the buy-side with strong fixed income knowledge.
  • Knowledge in the financial service industry and trade life cycle, particularly with respect to fixed income and derivative assets
  • Knowledge of securities operations – i.e. what happens after the trade is made
  • Knowledge of fund accounting concepts and practices

Technical Skills Include:

  • Working experience with SQL and writing/debug stored procedure
  • Experience with at least one of the following is a plus
    • SSRS/Microsoft Reporting Services
    • Tableau/PowerBI
    • Crystal Reporting
    • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel
