SALARY $150,000 - $190,000

Position Overview

We are looking for an innovative Data Scientist with at least three years of professional programming experience. In this role, you'll apply your skills in programming, statistics, and machine learning to uncover actionable insights from complex datasets and drive data-informed decision making. You will harness machine learning to develop an optimization system integrated with our native cloud-based operations management solution, empowering our customers to streamline and enhance their day-to-day operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis & Modeling: Extract, clean, and preprocess large datasets to uncover trends and patterns. Develop and deploy predictive models using machine learning algorithms and deep learning techniques.
  • Data Visualization & Reporting: Create compelling data visualizations with tools such as Tableau or Matplotlib to effectively communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. Develop interactive dashboards and comprehensive reports that drive strategic decisions.
  • Database Management: Write and optimize SQL queries to access and manipulate data stored in various databases. Work with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) to manage and analyze large datasets.
  • Cloud & Infrastructure: Utilize cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for scalable data storage and processing.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders, engineers, and product teams to define data requirements and ensure alignment with strategic goals. Mentor team members and share best practices in data science methodologies.

Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging data science techniques and industry trends. Experiment with innovative approaches to improve data processing and modeling efficiency.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional programming experience, with proficiency in Python and R.
  • Solid understanding of statistical methods and their application in data analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with machine learning algorithms, predictive modeling, and neural networks.
  • Expertise in writing complex SQL queries and performing data wrangling.
  • Familiarity with big data tools such as Hadoop and Spark.
  • Proficiency in data visualization techniques and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms for data processing and storage.
