Full-Stack Data Engineer (NYC Hedge-Fund w/ $10B AUM)

What's The Job?

As our new Full-Stack Data Engineer, you will join a senior engineer with decades of experience in our space and a risk analyst who will be your team's liaison to the traders/portfolio managers.

You'll own our data and databases and spearhead new integration projects on the roadmap. You need to know SQL and databases well, along with programming capabilities in Python or C#.

A prominent project you will work on is to help us build the infrastructure for our intra-day pricing systems.

This is a highly visible role. The company is 33 teammates strong and looking to grow further by the end of the year. You'll get to interact closely with everyone, including the partners. This is a position great for someone who has a keen interest in the asset management space and wants to be an integral part of a high-performing shop.

Who Are We?

We have over a decade of success in asset management, and we currently have approximately $10B AUM entrusted to us. We focus on liquid credit markets.

We just moved to a new office in Union Square, and while our traders are in the office 5 days a week, you and other engineers can operate on a hybrid schedule (2-3 days a week in the office). There is no requirement for you to be in the office 5 days a week, but you are welcome to be if you prefer.

What Skills Do You Need?

• Hands-on experience with SQL, Postgres, etc., and know databases (on-prem) inside out
• Experience with Redis or other in-memory databases
• Experience with time-series databases
• Proficiency in Python or C# for programming
• Docker
• Good communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical teammates
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience
• Ideally, you have experience in corporate credit, bonds, derivatives, etc.

Compensation:

• $140,000 - $160,000 Base Salary
• Yearly Discretionary Bonus
• 401(k)
• Full Benefits - 100% of premiums covered
