Principal Software Engineer - Cyber Security

SALARY $180,000 - $225,000

We are looking for a Senior/Principal level software engineer who is an expert in Python, developing cyber security systems at scale.

We are seeking an experienced Senior/Principal Software Engineer to join our talented team. As a key contributor, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust systems that operate at scale.   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure, scalable, and performant software solutions.
  • Architect, develop, and optimize systems capable of handling large data volumes efficiently.
  • Apply your expertise in cyber security to enhance threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.


What skill set do I need?

  • 6-15 years of professional experience in software engineering, with a focus on building and maintaining complex systems.
  • Proven track record of scaling applications to handle high traffic and large data sets.
  • Strong expertise in Python programming and related libraries.
  • Experience working on cyber security projects, including threat modeling, penetration testing, and security tool development.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of network security, cryptography, and secure coding practices.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, OSCP).
  • Understanding of machine learning techniques for anomaly detection and threat prediction.
