Director of Advertising Operations and Programmatic Yield

Overview: As the Director of Advertising Operations and Programmatic Yield, you will play a crucial role in supporting global advertising and sales teams, clients, and millions of users worldwide. You will lead in building world-class advertising solutions centered around excellence, iteration, and innovation. This role involves investigative insights and analysis, technical adjustments, strategic optimization, and surfacing opportunities within all platforms to maximize digital ad revenue yield.


  • Produce Global Advertising pacing reports and identify revenue risk areas.
  • Maintain Inventory and Yield Dashboards to mitigate revenue risk and identify inventory segments below benchmarks.
  • Create and maintain ad inventory forecasting and taxonomy management.
  • Optimize revenue by working closely with sales, ad operations, and third parties.
  • Provide insights to audience development and content operations on revenue opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Operations and Advertising Technology teams to understand dynamics and recommend adjustments.
  • Manage programmatic deal types including open bidding, prebid, and preferred deals.
  • Manage price floors across programmatic partners.
  • Investigate revenue fluctuations, anomalies, and inconsistencies.
  • Review Header Bidding partner performance.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to the programmatic ad stack.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and communicate internally to ensure success.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant Work Experience: Proven experience in revenue operations, ad operations, and/or programmatic yield optimization.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Initiative: Self-starter with a hands-on approach.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of pre-bid and interactions between SSPs and DSPs.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proactive in identifying issues and creating long-term solutions.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Methodologies: Basic understanding and experience with Agile methodologies.

Nice to Have:

  • Proficiency and knowledge with web, app, OTT, and mobile platforms including HTTP, JavaScript, HTML, and XML.
